Quentor has achieved its enviable reputation by supplying quality products and giving first class service to its customers for more than 40 years.
Established in 1972 by Tony Asbury and his Business Partner Deryck Allen, Quentor was very much a family based business operating from the family home.
Initially specialising in the design and manufacture of custom sound and lighting products, the growing demand for complimentary protective covers and transit `cases’ for this equipment was realised. Quentor soon moved into their first Industrial Unit and began to focus its efforts on manufacturing the earliest type of traditional style Flight Cases.
Long working days, months …..and years (not without a little share of blood, sweat and tears along the way) saw the business steadily grow until Quentor were making up to 200 traditional flight cases a week for the emerging telecommunications industry. The Quentor Team were not content with manufacturing a ‘me too’ product so, they set-about the challenge of designing their very own unique and innovative Flight Case System that was strong, light-weight and looked stylish……. and so the Quentor fully patented `System’ range - was born …..‘System 10’, ‘System 15’ and ‘System 25’.
Today Quentor manufacture bespoke Flight Cases in both the Traditional and `System’ styles for transportation and storage for many markets including, Off-shore, Instrumentation, Audio Visual, Military, and top level Motorsport. Many well-known National and International brands use Quentor cases. We offer a wide choice of panel materials, colours and styles to meet the application and budgets of each individual project. On the flight case side of our business we specialise in high quality, light-weight and intelligent packaging solutions.
Over the decades in response to customer requests, Quentor has developed a host of complimentary products that fully exploits weight saving technologies. Our skilled in-house Design and Production Teams have a passion for delivering clever well-engineered design solutions, examples of which can be seen on our website today.
In 2007 Tony Retired and passed the business on to his trusted team of staff led by his daughter Kate who had been part of Quentor…..well since she was the tender age of 7 by getting stuck-in with a soldering iron in order to earn herself a bag of chips. The Team has continued Quentor’s innovative ethos introducing lightweight ‘Fast-Track’ Banner Panels and the all new `Aero Shacks’ – the ultimate in strong yet weight-saving Containers for Airfreight.
Quentor has a modern manufacturing facility based in the East of England near Norwich in Norfolk, where we have a talented team of dedicated staff who are the very essence of our success. We use CAD technology and CNC routing equipment which ensures that we manufacture to high engineering standards. We are proud to have attained, and maintained, accreditation to the stringent BS EN ISO9001 2008 qualification.
As the number of innovative products in our range continues to increase, we are planning to expand the factory in 2014.
Always onward and always upward….
